Reviving Chicago Community News

New generation journalists is leading the charge to revitalize local coverage of news and reduce the threat to the democratic process. Our goal is to raise unprecedented funds to enhance proven solutions while eliminating longstanding inequities in coverage of journalism and practices.

Recent graduates and students unveiled their new Austin Harvest produce market at its permanent site this week, bringing art and community to an area once known for gun violence. KBEZ's Jackie Kostek visited to speak to the founders of the market who outlined their mission as not just providing food, but rather creating a more welcoming culture as part of their goal.
