Welcome to the Japanese Woodworking Wiki! This is an independent project intended to serve as a central repository of information related to Japanese Woodworking in the English language.
Purpose
The wiki is intended to assist in preserving and sharing knowledge of Japanese Woodworking and open the craft to the widest possible audience. Learning Japanese Woodworking is challenging for a variety of reasons, not least of which is that information is often passed in person from experienced practitioners to new learners. This limits the number of people who can get involved, and means new learners often have a steeper learning curve than necessary. The hope is that a wiki can help share information faster, letting individuals get from casual interest to connecting with the community faster.
How to Contribute
Contributions and edits are welcome. A login is required to edit pages and can be created by clicking “Register” above. Logins are used solely to discourage spam - your email doesn't leave the wiki and is shared with no one.
If you haven't used wikis before, you can read more about dokuwiki's syntax. The site currently supports images and embedding videos, and you can upload images once logged in by using the media manager just below the search bar.
